Sell or trade rare, old books here!

Sell old books directly to collectors

If you have old, rare books, and you are not a dealer in books, and would like to sell your old, rare books directly to other collectors on this site, please contact me.

The saying goes, "the more you put into something, the more you'll get out of it" and in selling old books, that's very true. So after you contact me, if I agree to sell your old books for you I will need you to make images of each old book you want sold. The more the better. I will add your old books to my website and create a PayPal ad button for them. All old book sales are paid for via PayPal and if you have a PayPal account, transfering funds to you will be easy. Otherwise I will gladly mail you a check.

We will agree on a price for your old books before hand, so there's no disagreement upon a sale.

If I sell your old books I will notify you by email when a sale is made, though I will withhold funds until you ship the books you sold to the buyer. I do not want you to send your old books to me, though I have made exceptions at times. If you prefer that I manage the shipment and delivery it will effect the price I pay you for your old books as it's more work for me.

When you sell old books you have to understand that there is a lot of competition on the internet, so the more information you can provide me the better. Such as brief description of the book, a history of the author or anything else you think might help sell your old books.

If the old books you want to sell are rare and valuable I might suggest advertising them for sale on Google. I have a Google Adwords account and will glady manage that for you, but I will not front the cost. We would have to agree on a budget beforehand and you would need to send me the amount you are willing to spend to sell your rare old books. I would direct all ads to the page where your rare old books are listed. Rare old books that are valuable get displayed on a standalone page on Really Old Books website.

Odd But Rare

Below are odd but rare things for sale.

meteor rock  Meteor

I dug this meteor up in a dry creek bed east of Prescott Arizona in the late 90s while gold prospecting. It was the most exciting find I've ever had. It comes from the giant Barringer meteorite crater, which, as the crow flies, is somewhere around 17 miles NE of where I found it.

It weighs a lot, about the size of a hardball and is pock-marked like you might think all meteors would be. But don't be fooled, many don't look anything at all like it. I took my space rock to the University of Arizona and some teacher there offered to buy it from me, but I turned him down.

It weighs a lot! I estimate it at somewhere north of two pounds. I am asking $1,000 firm for it. I will even supply a letter detailing where I dug it up.

Rare Hallmark Christmas Ornaments

Note, these are some of the rarest Hallmark Christmas Ornaments that my wife collected over the years - including the boxes they came in. There are so many, I created a page just for these Hallmark Ornaments.

Old, Rare Stock Certificates

Like books, I also collected old stock certificates over the years. These are mostly mining stocks, but there are some from the Civil War era, one in particular is very rare - a Civil War bond from New York.
